Family Potion Trail – In Linton NOW!

Family Potion Trail!

Inspired by Science “The Book Lab” has come up with a family treasure hunt around Linton, available now!

Surely it will stop raining soon?  And when it does, use this as a great excuse to get out and about with the kids.

What is a ‘Potion Trail’ we hear you cry?
An answer so simple, you should say, ‘Oh My!’

Nine pictures in Linton are hidden around,
Your quest is to see if they can be found!
So 9 cryptic clues we have written inside -
Each clue is a place where the pictures you’ll find.
Using the map, as it shouldn’t impede,
You must walk to the places where each clue leads.

If you’re right, then a picture is in the location.
Showing quantities needed to make up your ‘Potion’.
Collect all 9 numbers, for each thing on your list,
Take an adult, or friend, some more, if you wish!

Once completed and signed, the trail is complete -
Bring along to the Bookfest for a unique ‘Badge’ treat!

Please click here to download the trail, have fun and good luck!

What would you like to Invent? One more week to tell us ……

This year our theme is “The Book Lab”, and we want you to come up with an invention, that you would like to see. Use your imagination, the crazier the better. What about an edible car, a self cleaning bed-room….. a really helpful younger brother?  How would it work?

We would love to hear your ideas?

You can describe your invention, write a poem about it, draw it or even make it. It can be done by hand or on the computer.

The only rule is that it needs to fit on one side of A4 paper!

All competition entries will be on display at Windmill House, Long Lane, Saturday 5th May.

Prizes will be presented by Nick Arnold (Horrible Science author) on Saturday 12th May-  if you missed getting tickets for Nick, this is your chance to meet him…….
