Tucked into the back of the LVC near the Art Department and the Granta School. I hear all went very well and the Bus custodians were very impressed with the behaviour and interest of the pupils who visited.
At this moment it is parked at the Junior School and pupils will see it in the morning and Linton Infants School will have access in the afternoon.
Fantastic!
Thank you to Karl Backhurst from The Darryl Nantais Gallery in Linton for arranging this fantastic opportunity to see Sir Peter Blake’s Art. The Bus will be parked outside the Gallery tomorrow afternoon until the end of Saturday 8th May.

Thank you to Andrew, Simon and Garth for a really interesting History Walk today. By just looking around us carefully we were able to see what remains of Victorian Linton and imagine what it must have been like growing up in the 1870s when Linton had a workhouse, seventeen pubs and a railway station!
For those who missed it, see if you can guess what the thing that looks like a lamp post (until you look to its top) near the Cricket Pavillion really was….and see if you can spot any more.
We are hoping the weather will be just as kind to us next week when we will be hosting Garden Storytimes after school in some of Linton’s most amazing gardens. Full details are in our programme.
On Saturday we still have places available for: Barbara Mitchelhill’s Sleuth or Dare; The Milky Way puppet show; Simon Chapman’s How to Survive in the Amazon and poetry generation workshops with young poet of the year Adham Smart.
On Sunday you can still come and meet Pete Johnson and learn How to Train Your Parents; make fairy books with the Fairy land Trust at 12.00 and 13.15; see the film “Bend it Like Beckham” and meet the author Narinder Dhami; flex your fingers at the 12.00 Manga workshop; find out about The Oldest Poo in the World with Liz Hide and learn Indian Dancing!
Just download a booking form and get it back to us as quickly as possible!

Our banners are up in Linton so you can’t miss the fact that Linton Children’s Book Festival’s first event - the History Walk – is happening in just two weeks time.
We have already received booking forms from more than 70 families and allocated nearly 800 places to the FREE events happening on 8-9th May.
And, we are expecting an influx next week when parents, preparing for the new term, discover the bookfest programme tucked away in the bottom of their child’s school bag from before the Easter holiday.
Several events have only a few places left – check the website for availability updates.

On Saturday 8th May, new author, Holly Clifton Brown will read the story of Annie Hoot, an owl who loves knitting and explores the world looking for appreciative animals.
And, we are delighted to say that it has just been confirmed that Annie herself will make a guest appearance, thanks to her keepers at Linton Zoo.
A gloriously bright funny and unusual book for the youngsters. Knitting parents and grandparents especially welcome!

So a big thank you for all the great enthusiasm and support we get from our committee, community, schools, groups, sponsors and children!
(We didn’t cry).
